Have you ever heard the saying,"every cloud has a silver lining?" Meaning there is always a positive aspect in a negative situation. This has applied to several situations in my life.
As I shared in my past blogs my first marriage wasn't good, and I also shared the loss of my son Noah, who was stillborn. Trying to find the "silver lining" in those situations was difficult. I had to pray, and dig deep and at times I still couldn't find the "silver lining" in my situation. One day I made a list of all of the good things in my life, all of the good times, and it did what I wanted it to, it outweighed the bad. The "silver lining" from my first marriage was my daughter Mackenzie. She's 19 now, currently attending college where she is pursuing her nursing degree, just doing great. I couldn't be more proud. Then there are the circumstances that allowed Henry to come back into my life. Although I didn't want my first marriage to fail, God led me back to a wonderful man, my husband that I cherish more now than I ever did before. When we lost our son Noah we were devastated. My faith wasn't shaken, but my heart was broken. After our loss, a few months later, I found out I was pregnant. I was excited, nervous, but so grateful that God blessed us again, gave us another chance. Now we have Joey, our precious little one that God has blessed us with. She is my "silver lining" after our loss. She is 3 now full of life, and just a joy to love. I encourage you to take time to look for your "silver lining", no matter what you are going through. Trust me, its there.
